Here’s a free ebook for download – How to be Happier. And you don’t even have to trade in your email address to get it!
It’s based on an earlier post on this blog, also entitled How to be Happier. It’s one of the most popular articles on this whole website, but at over 4,000 words it probably isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. The article explains that common wisdom on how to be happier is often wrong – there’s little use looking for happiness in careers, money, fast women or flash cars. What makes the biggest difference is how people act, how they think, and how the respond to the world. The article went on to explain a few exercises that psychologists have tested as methods for making people happier, all of which having promising results.
The ebook is a very condensed version of that article, displayed in format that’s much easier to read, which you can save to your computer and read offline. It’s formatted to be read on a computer screen rather than printed out (you’ll see what I mean when you download it), but you could print it if you need to – you’ll just have to read it landscape.
Here’s the link, right click and choose ’save as’ to download:
If you have a website and think your readers might be interested in the ebook, feel free to host it up on your own site too – provided it’s unmodified. It’s only 180 kb, so email to anyone you think would like it too.
